After months of seeing this book all over my FYP, on Tiktok, I finally decided it was time to take the plunge…and enjoyed every second!
Viv is tired…after years of battles and blood. Determined to lay down her sword and start a new adventure she takes her money to Thune, a large city that seems perfect for her new venture.
Not only do we get to see the formation of her coffee shop but we get to see Viv surround herself with friends that quickly become a found family. She’s finally able to start letting herself relax and enjoy life rather than always being on high alert.
Before reading this book I didn’t know that “cozy fantasy” could be a thing. I love the idea of seeing an adventurer after they retire their weapons, and look for a different path.
If you love the idea of fantasy but get anxious at all the high stakes and various threats…I highly recommend reading this book…whose tagline is “A novel of High Fantasy…and low stakes”.
